The Massachusetts Regional Caring Science Consortium (MRCSC) will offer a two-part virtual series on Nurses as Change Makers at the 2024 Spring and Fall virtual programs. The MRCSC Spring Program, on April 16, 2024 from 11:00 am to 12:30 pm EDT, will focus on Nurses as Change Makers, Part 1— Four Essential Practices for Healing Self. This program addresses the need for nurses to attend to their own healing processes in preparation for caring for others. The program explores the four essential practices of healing highlighted in Caring Science --Surrender, Forgiveness, Gratitude, and Compassionate Service-- and gives examples of self-healing micropractices that nurses can do daily.
Speakers will include the MRCSC leadership team, who are caring science scholars, nursing clinicians, and nursing faculty in academic settings:
There is no fee to attend this program, but registration is required at https://mrcsc.org/events/spring-2024-program/
Nurses, students, and other healthcare professionals are invited to attend. Nursing Contact Hours will be offered.
The second part of this 2024 series, Nurses as Change Makers, Part 2—Cultivating Caring-Healing Culture in Practice Settings, will be offered by the MRCSC at the Fall 2024 virtual program. Date and time will be announced later.
