Guided by nurse-artist and educator Mary Rockwood Lane, PhD, RN, FAAN, this journey blends caring science, mindfulness, and artistic exploration in a warm, welcoming space — no prior art experience required. Through live Zoom sessions, reflective learning, and guided creative practices, you’ll discover how artistic expression can calm the nervous system, replenish emotional reserves, and gently reawaken joy. A Journey Meant to Be Shared. This experience isn’t about creating “perfect” art — it’s about belonging, reflection, and rediscovering parts of yourself that may have gone quiet. In The Artist and Healer, you’ll connect with a supportive community, engage in small group sharing, and explore how creativity deepens compassion for yourself and others. Nurses can earn 40 Continuing Education credits, and all participants are invited to share their work in the Nurses Guild Artist Gallery.
