Dr. Mary Brekke was inducted into the Global Academy of Holistic Nursing as a Distinguished Scholar on June 26, 2021. Dr. Brekke also served as the AHNCC President-elect 2011, President 2012-2013, and Past-President 2014.

Dominique Fontaine, BSN, RN, HNB-BC, HWNC-BC is a double board-certified bachelors prepared holistic registered nurse and health and wellness nurse coach and founder of Sage Integrative Wellness, LLC. She is the new Nurse Coach Editor for the American Holistic Nurses Association and chapter leader for the AHNA Scottsdale, AZ Chapter, a holistic nurse educator, speaker, holistic nurse consultant, integrative health and wellness workshop facilitator, and a cannabis nurse coach and consultant. As an American Holistic Nurses Credentialing Corporation (AHNCC) board certified nurse coach supervisor, she supports nurses on a holistic journey towards board certification with her Sage Mentorships in the specialties of holistic nursing, integrative nurse coaching, and future goals of board certification in cannabis nursing as well as holistic nurse entrepreneurship.
Her work focuses specifically on homeostasis regulation, healing, and
wellbeing in psychoneuroimmunoendocrinology ailments integrating complementary integrative health approaches such as natural products, mind-body medicine, movement therapies, energy therapies, and partnering with clients to rediscover purpose and enhance quality of life. Her favorite research experiences have been in integrative health and wellness pilot studies at the clinical level with data collection, monitoring, peer reviewing and medical content reviewing as a holistic nurse consultant for a few major national and international health and wellness media companies and other stakeholders in the health and wellness and cannabis industries. She enjoys advancing the profession of nursing through her active committee involvement with a few national nursing organizations such as the American Holistic Nurses Association and the American Cannabis Nurses Association in nursing research, education, and credentialing. Dominique is a passionate nurse disability advocate who enjoys spending quality time with her emotional service animal, Xena, while striving to transform healthcare and culture through awareness, holistic education, innovation, research, and integrative nurse coaching.
