    We’ll begin with a heartfelt panel of Nurses who will gently frame the journey of self-awareness and self-compassion. Together, they’ll share personal stories, insights, and practical wisdom to help you see where you are, honor what you’ve carried, and open the door to meeting yourself with greater understanding and kindness.

    Part 2 – It Begins With You – Erica Hooper
    In this session, we’ll look at why self-awareness is the foundation for meaningful change. We will share practical ways to pause, reflect, and recognize your own needs, strengths, and patterns—so you can show up more fully for yourself and others.

    Part 3 – The Inner Work of Love – Charlene
    In this session, we’ll focus on the deep, personal practice of meeting yourself with compassion. You will learn how acts of self-kindness can strengthen resilience, open the heart, and create a lasting sense of inner peace.

    Part 4 – Cultivating Self-Awareness Through Art – Mary
    Here, we’ll explore how creative expression can be a powerful tool for self-discovery. We will share examples and practices that use art to illuminate your inner landscape and bring clarity to what matters most to you.

That’s why we’re so honored to introduce a new partnership with Tara Rynders brining a resource for exploring the tender work of healing from loss and grief. Her 3-part program, Grief Embodied, invites us to explore the sorrow we carry with curiosity, compassion, and care. It’s a beautiful opportunity to transform heartbreak into healing together. During these programs, we learn to honor our pain while opening space for joy, connection, and celebration. The program is designed to welcome those who want to explore alone, those who benefit from community, and those who would like one-on-one guidance. Whether you are in direct care, education, active in caregiving or retired, here is an opportunity to invest in the care and expansiveness of your heart.

Many nurse coaches feel uncertain about how to design a program, communicate its value, or gain organizational support. This session offers a clear, actionable blueprint for building a sustainable hospital-based nurse coaching program that enhances nurse well-being, reduces burnout, and improves retention. Participants will walk away with practical strategies, realworld examples, and the confidence to begin creating meaningful change within their organizations.

    Carole Bergin, Retired RN, CHTP/I, Catechist of the Good Shepherd. Co-teach Healing Touch Classes for nurses, provide Healing Touch sessions for cancer survivors, teach Children’s Liturgy, act as a hospital Eucharistic Minister, and visit a local retirement community for prayer circle.

    Patti O’Rourke, MSN, RN, LMBT, BC, CCRN, CHPN, HN-BC, HWNC-BC, NBC-HWC, RM: She is a passionate lifelong learner with an impressive 60-year career in nursing and counting!   She is a joyologist, nurse healer, educator, mentor, and coach.

    Mission

    To create a sacred and safe space for the Caring Science community to share healing modalities (i.e. Caritas moments, healing poems, meditation, yoga, music, etc.), and connect with one another.

    Goals
    • Hold a monthly 1 hour zoom session with a set structure
    • Allow for 10-15 minutes of open sharing at the end
    • Have a group of moderators to organize and facilitate each session (rotate)
    • Assign 1 moderator per session/set a schedule for 6 months
    Structure of Each Session
    • Opening reflection, calling us to the space in stillness and presence (by moderator/facilitator)
    • Offer space for a maximum of 3 healing, sharing moments of 5-10 minutes each
    • Open sharing time around 10-15 minutes
    • Closing (5 minutes)
