AHNCC and our contracted vendors have policies and procedures in place to try and protect against bias and sensitivity of items, the certification tests as a whole, and any other materials published and distributed by AHNCC. The AHNCC Equality, Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, and Social Justice (EEDISJ) Committee promotes initiatives, education, and advocacy efforts that embraces our common humanity. We work to uplift the contributions of holistic nurses from a wide range of backgrounds and identities through knowledge sharing that honors diverse healing traditions and perspectives. We serve to strengthen the holistic nurse speciality by broadening sociocultural awareness, in order to enhance our ability to provide optimal holistic care that is inclusive to all. This mission drives us to offer ourselves as instruments of healing, while also committing to equity, diversity, inclusion, and social justice as unifying forces of equality.
Conversation Corners (CCs) is an initiative that the AHNCC Equality, Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, and Social Justice (EEDISJ) Committee implements. The intent of the CCs is to increase our worldviews and understanding of other peoples’ lived experiences, perceptions, values, cultures, attitudes, etc. Through these dialogues we hope that we can all learn and grow and better care for those whom we serve. Participants who attend the entire presentation can receive continuing competency hours that can be used to meet their certification continuing competency hours requirement.

AHNCC & GAHN, “CALLED FROM DARKNESS” FILM SERIES – Recorded Sessions
